How do I populate a sub group?

I created a subgroup for Relief society in our ward. I went into the RS sub group (as the administrator). I pressed Options pulldown and selected “Manage Members”. I then selected Invitations. I entered a couple of email addresses in the To section. The Send button at the bottom of the screen remains grayed out. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks, that helped a lot. I was trying to use email addresses for invitation (didn't work). I assume the profile is the individual's username?

    I was able to guess the profile name on two invitees. I need to send an email to others requesting their profile.

    @alancooley1

    I assume you mean family group when talking about a sub group.

    If so, the instructions to invite members can be found in the following knowledge article:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/invite-people-to-join-a-family-group

    Are you following these instructions?

    Alternatively, as suggested, you can copy the link and send it in a separate email.

    I'm not referring to family groups.

    Under indexing, we have a ward group. When I go into the ward group, the Options pulldown has a subgroup option. I created a subgroup here and this is the subgroup I'm trying to manage. How do I copy members of our ward group into this subgroup I created yesterday?
