Error Report - Place Standardization - New Jersey Church Records
In the Record Set New Jersey, Church Records, 1675-1970, the bot has truly gone off the rails. The majority of these waypointed places are not in New Jersey.

Could a mod please escalate to the engineers? Thanks.

Waypoints are a different species than standardization (auto- or otherwise). I've never figured out who actually is in charge of them, and have also never succeeded in getting any of them changed -- and some of them I've been trying to for a decade now.

And now that waypoints page appears to be broken because this is a piece of what I see:

Anyway, I looked at the collection and it appears to be a mixed bag of records. Here is one page image in the collection. Clearly it is not from New Jersey. But the floating citation label doesn't say Virginia, it says Maryland.

The waypoints page still works from the collection landing page [https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2106099] and then the Browse All Images button.

Once a collection appears online there seems a real reluctance within FamilySearch to go back and make any corrections - whatever the issue.
I have reported different collections that include records relating to another English county (to that in the collection title) and been advised nothing will be done about this, either.
True, this appears to be a "Waypoints" issue, so different to the example above, but I believe the response will be the same. The argument will probably be, if they are removed from under the New Jersey collection heading, to where are they to be transferred? It just seems too much of an effort to find the correct home for them once they have been placed as they are.

@Áine Ní Donnghaile, I think that, in this case, we should move this issue to those who deal with waypoints for their review and resolution. It is clearly a case of inaccurate waypoints. I will put this in the queue for their review.
Thanks for making us aware of this issue.
