Request change from deceased to living...
Hello I am working on a project for a class. My subject is George Foreman, the boxer, who happens to live in the same community that I do. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Foreman
I noticed that he is listed as deceased in the FamilySearch Family Tree. Please correct this to living.
George Edward Foreman, born 10 January 1949, ID GMDP-Q58.
I do not know if his spouses are living or not. But there is a good chance that they are.
Thank you, Karen Rasmussen

Thank you for posting your question in the Community regarding changing a person's status from deceased to living in Family Tree.
We are attaching a link to an article from the Help Center regarding this issue.
Here are the instructions if you are not the only contributor to the record:
Steps (website)
- Navigate to the person page of the individual who is living.
- Click Details
- In the Vitals section, next to the listed death date, select Edit.
- In the box that appears, click the circle labeled Living
- Enter how you know the person is still alive.
- Click Save
- Enter an explanation for the system administrator to review your request. Please provide this information:
- Your relationship to the individual needing attention
- How you know that the person is alive
- If possible, the living person's current physical address
- Click Submit.
A request now goes to FamilySearch Support. A system administrator reviews your request and takes appropriate actions.
Best wishes.

Surely this is a case that needs to be escalated to a "specialist team" to deal with?
It is not only George Foreman who has a "Deceased" status, but other directly connected individuals who are almost certainly still alive, so deserve to have their privacy protected.
FamilySearch should be dealing with reported issues like this, not be leaving it to individuals.

We appreciate your concern about these records, and the privacy issue. It is a valid concern and we are glad you brought the deceased status of his other family members to our attention.
When we use the steps from the Help Center article outlined above, the case goes directly to a Specialty Department. As stated in the article, "A request now goes to FamilySearch Support. A system administrator reviews your request and takes appropriate actions."
There is a team of people trained to help with this issue.
Take care, and best wishes.
