How do I prevent my Free LDS ancestry.com account from linking me to their purchase page?

When I enter through the LDS link page, which has 8 or more free family history services links, and when I select ancestry,com, it responds with an error message that my FamilySearch account has already been linked with ancestry.com. It provides a link to my account and when clicked on, my account appears just fine; but when I try to change or add anything, like a hint, it sends me to the ancestry.com account purchase page. What am I doing Wrong?
