I am writing to ask about correcting a record on a Read-only Tree entry.

Andrew Jackson Jr. (adopted son of President Jackson) has two read-only trees. He is identified in one as LHDV-CNH. In this tree he is married to the correct person and has his five correct children listed. He has an additional child who belongs to neither AJ jr or his wife, Sarah York Jackson: Joseph Edward Jackson L631-15J. He in turn is listed with two sets of parents, his other father is Abraham Jackson KJWV-SWM. He may be the correct parent -- I don't know anything about this couple. AJ Jr. and his wife Sarah Yorke are listed as an alternative set of parents. There is nothing in Joseph Edward Jackson's sources that suggest that there is a relationship to AJ Jr.

In the other tree AJ Jr. has the ID number LT3S-PBG. In it he is identified as an alternative parent for Amanda Jimmerson. LT3S-V55 This appears to be an extra-marital relationship because Amanda Jimmerson was apparently formerly enslaved. The source for this is Amanda's daughter's death certificate which lists her father as Andrew Jackson (no location). Since Amanda's daughter was born in 1877, and Andrew Jackson Jr. died in 1865, Andrew Jackson Jr. could not be her father.
