Deleting personal information of living persons
I have contacted two people who have posted pages about my parents. I have no idea who these people are and if any relationship to me or my husband. I have not established one for anyone yet. However, in both cases (and possibly others) they have posted as a source, a vital record and image as "public" information. We would like to request that that information be removed as a source. That is private information of living persons. I have tried to contact both and up to now have gotten no answers. Can you recommend what else I can do?

@Carol4,014, you can "detach" a source attached to a PID by going to the person/detail page, clicking Sources, then click on the source then "Detach". This will only be a temporary fix, until someone else reattaches that same source.
If it is truly "public" information it will exist somewhere in the world even after you detach it. For instance the 1950 US Census . That information is now Public. There are numerous persons on that document that are living. That Census may show children relationships to parents etc. If you were born in Texas US then the image of your birth certificate is likely online and is Public information.
Someone may be able to give you a better answer and counsel if you can give more specificity as to the record set or collection and what type information you are talking about.
PS I assume your parents are deceased, if that is not the case then you can go to their person/detail page and click Edit next to Death in Vitals and mark them as Living to start the process of removing them from FS Family Tree.

IMO, the issue is, is your marriage certificate “Public” information or not according to the laws in the jurisdiction of the Record Holder, likely the county and state it was issued? Every jurisdiction will have their own laws and conditions regarding release of information. In some areas that document may only be available to the participants or may not be public information for a set number of years. Maybe the Index is public but not the image. Some record holders may allow some process to seal certain records, you would have to check with them.
Find out first if the image is Public under the governing laws of the record holder’s jurisdiction. If it is not public and if someone made a scan of the certificate and uploaded that image to FS, then you may be able to get it removed from FS. But if it is truly Public then it is doubtful you can get it removed, other that detaching the source yourself.
Likely a Mod will jump in at some point and private message you regarding your specific case.

Thank you for the comment. It was helpful. If I could just get the image removed (my marriage certificate), it would help. The info is not about my parents, it belongs to my husband and I (both living) and both sets of our parents are deceased. Their names are simply listed on it. Does this clarify it a bit more? I have tried to contact two of the creators of this source info and received no replies as yet.

Thanks. I detached all four source links for the document with reason given for it. Hopefully this will be sufficient. We shall see. Again thank you for your help.
