Lost cousin
I am searching for my first cousin on my mother's side of the family. My mother's last name is Gerber before she was married. She had two sisters and a brother Philip.
Philip married Rose and then Doris. Rose and Philip had a child named Elaine (1947, Philadelphia PA. I am registered on 23and Me, Ancestry.com and Family Search. I have been unsuccessful in locating Elaine (including BC/MC/ or DC).
Obituaries of Philip, Rose, Doris and Ronald (Elaine’s brother) all mention Elaine. 1950 Federal Census list Elaine as daughter to Philip and Rose Gerber.
Any help will be appreciated.
Take care
Michael

Perhaps this ID should be changed to a status of "Living", especially as her birth was as late as 1950 and there is no evidence for her death.
I would certainly try to contact the person who created this ID (although they might no longer be a Family Tree user) to enquire why the Deceased status has been applied.
Other than that, please have respect for the fact that your cousin might not wish to be be contacted - hence her being so difficult to trace. I do worry over the privacy aspect when people come to this forum for the purpose of trying to find long-lost relatives.

Thanks for all your effort. I did not know Elaine was listed as deceased. I have contacted the person who posted that info. Waiting for reply.
As you said there is the possibility of wanting to remain in the shadows. One nevers knows.
Thanks again
Michael
