What to do with the ward newspapers - ideas please.
My father had a calling of producing a ward newspaper starting in 1957. I have 19 years of newspapers, usually 12 issues per year. They are full of births, deaths, weddings, callings, graduations, missions, move ins and move outs etc. There are even articles about where the ward members were spending summer vacations. There is wonderful information for hundreds of families who lived in that ward.
I am already creating indexes of family names for each year so families can find their information by issue. I plan to take the issues along with each index to the family history library to be scanned and put on a flash drive or a passport drive.
The question is what to do then. I thought of just putting them on Family Search but I understand that only my family would be able to find them there. I want to make these documents available to every family who was in the ward. Facebook page? Web page? Blog? It needs to be easy and it needs to be cheap (free). I need to find ways to get the word out as well. I will contact the ward and stake but many families no longer have contact with that ward.
I would love to have some input and Ideas. I'm attaching a copy of the first page of the first issue. Each issue was four pages.

Have you contacted the Church HIstory Library? (not the same thing as the Family History LIbrary)
