why do I not see any availability information??

Maybe the all-caps in the URL is messing things up? In any case, the version of the catalog page that your link pulls up is corrupted (full of gibberish).
I found the item the long way around instead (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1026103) and it works: the access type is a microfilm reel.
