The landing page stinks

I do not like that when you on tree it takes you to the last person you looked at .As a missionary we help a lot of people so when we sign in and click on the drop down and tree it takes us to the tree for the last person we helped and not to our own tree

Can you not fix the system to where it does not do that and we can go to our own tree.

I agree that it would be Really Nice for FS to go back to putting your home person as, well, your home person, but in the meantime, there are two easy workarounds.

If you're on any view but Descendancy, there's a Home button in the top right toolbar. It looks like a house. It'll reset the zoom, but it'll take you to your current chart type, centered on your actual home person (which is usually yourself).

Regardless of the current view, if you're anywhere in Tree, you can click Recents and then click the tree-stublet icon after your (or your home person's) name, at the top of the list. This will take you to a chart centered on your home person, with all settings as you last left them.

I don not see anything that looks like a house so am not sure what you are talking about. The only home I see is on the left and it takes you to your home page in the browser which is no help.

My second workaround works from the person page, too, but as Chas points out, the "home" icon only applies on (some) tree views.

I've been having the same issue :( but finally stumbled across the "home" button that Julia referred to. If you are in Landscape, Fan Chart, or Portrait it shows up. Honestly it is frustrating that it won't go back to one's own tree.

I echo sunnybay's frustration. I too am a missionary and it is very cumbersome to call up a previous patron's information when helping someone else or trying to access my personal tree. It would be very helpful to eliminate that troublesome process. Thank you for your help.
