Items at the Family History Library

the amount of items at the family history library is just incredible and mind boggling.

you can query their holding by using the SEARCH of the CATALOG

https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog

a fair portion is available via digital format on line.

BUT due to copyright restrictions many items are not available in digital format. on line.

Many items, however, are only there in physical format on the various floors of the library

however -- a very large portion of items listed in the Catalog are in what is called "OFFSITE STORAGE"

if you ever want to be able to access these items you will need to visit the Family History Library on person --- but before doing that - request that they pull the item from offsite storage

in most cases it will be placed in digital format on a flash drive for viewing.
