Why do you only allow the memory uploader to rotate a memory?

I often see memories that need to be rotated. Why can't anybody rotate a sideways or upside down photo? Why do you only allow the uploader to do it?

    its a matter of control

in the case of items that need rotation -- I tend to agree with you - this seems like a serious option to pursue.

    BUT

what about other things -- - - changing titles, description and other options.

personally I am wary of other people being allowed to make updates to my items

but I also understand - the many items that need updating and you send a request to the submitter -- and you are lucky to even get an answer. so that is vry annoying.

who knows the person may even be dead . . .

so there are two sides to the coin.
