Filter & Sort for SUGGEST AN IDEA page search results
Within a search for new ideas, please help us to filter the results for IDEAS (not ideas and comments combined), and then sort ideas by DATE and/or NUMBER OF VOTES. That is, I want to see what ideas others have related to a similar idea I may have.
We aren't going to scroll through all the pages of ideas and comments (for a search topic) with results in no date or vote order!

Comment demonstrating current Community Search filters and options:
When you first use the Community Search feature you will see a similar search results page as above - which searches All results (Ideas, Discussions, Questions and Polls).
To filter ONLY for Ideas - select the Discussions filter bubble then select only the Ideas checkbox. Then click the Filter button. This should filter your search for ONLY Ideas results.
Then you can play around with the Date Updated feature and the Sort By options to see if that filters Results sufficiently. I don't know the exact meanings of Top and Hot - but they might bring up results such as you request.
If you include in the search terms the FamilySearch application feature name(s) - for the feature(s) related to your Idea - that should bring up relevant results. Unfortunately all Ideas are public and so most likely will have some sort of comments/discussion attached - which should help gauge the Community reaction to the Idea by those responses.
From past experience with posting some Ideas - you likely will find a lively response from those that disagree with your Idea and possibly some response from those that may agree. Usually the Upvote feature doesn't seem to get much response (again in my experience) - so it seems difficult for Ideas to gain traction (my perspective). Some Ideas have been repeatedly suggested but not considered/responded to - so they will periodically be repeated by others with a similar Idea (just in different words). Since I am unaware of a FamilySearch roadmap - showing which Ideas are accepted and being worked on and those that have been rejected - or those just floating in limbo - this also affects Community suggested Ideas gaining traction. I have seen others have success with suggesting Ideas which FamilySearch has implemented. Present your best case and persuasive reasoning for the Idea.

Thank you! This really helps.
How can I see the voting status for each idea without clicking on each idea?
TOP matches appear to be those with the most votes.

I don't think you can currently - so some of your Idea here could still help one filter through...
just refine your Idea to reflect what you currently would like to see behave differently.
Good Idea.
Perhaps in addition to your filter options Idea - FamilySearch could have a 'roadmap' showing all the different features and ones that are currently being worked on or accepted - and those in Rejected status. That certainly might help reduce Ideas that 'won't go anywhere' - rejected Ideas don't need to be suggested again - IF users could easily find such data. But I can also understand FamilySearch keeping that kind of data non-public - they know their roadmap and the users can play around in the beta site/sandbox if super interested (beta.familysearch.org - changes users might make in the beta site - for testing/seeing new features - do not migrate to the working/production site - at least that is what I was told).
