I have an issue on the website getting back to portrait view
Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. I didn't see anything with a search for this issue.
Whenever I switch tree view to landscape or fan chart, I have a hard time getting back to portrait view. I select portrait but it takes me to landscape. There is like one little place on the portrait button that gets me back to portrait. I just keep clicking around in there and it will finally go to portrait.
Has anyone else experienced this? is there something I can do to fix this?
Thank you for any help.

It's a bug that depends on what order you do stuff in.
Starting from the fan chart, choosing Portrait results in the Landscape chart.
If you then choose Landscape (which changes nothing) or go back to Fan and then click on Portrait, you finally get the actual Portrait chart.
Once you've gotten to Portrait in a session, it'll go to it straight from Fan, too.
Refresh the page while you're on Fan, and choosing Portrait results in Landscape again.

@RichCalzada Hi and thank you for posting your query to FamilySearch Community. I'm using a laptop with Google Chrome as my browser and I just went into Family Tree and tried it for myself. I didn't experience any difficulty at all with all options opening up almost instantly. You don't say which device / browser you are using. That may be an issue. Also if you haven't cleared your cache of cookies, or cleaned up your browsing history lately that can affect your browser's performance. (Not that I'm in any way a technical expert.) Are you using the current edition of your browser? Also, is your version of Family Tree up to date? Hopefully others may have come across the problem you describe and be able to give you more specific help.
Kind regards,

I'm using a desktop with Chrome. It is the current edition of Chrome. It works the way Julia desrcibes. If I select landscape after the fan chart, then select portrait, it works. I never tried it that way. I tried it on my laptop also using Chrome and it works fine. Thank you both for helping me out!
