What does "do" mean?

I am looking at a record I am tryring to record and I noticed many entries just say "do" after certain names. Using context clues it seems to mean the same. I am dong a boston tax records. https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/ba538064-e21b-49fe-b0e6-1a15b70dbe02

I noticed I saw on dictionary.com under "ditto" do means ditto and ditto means same. However, I have never head that. However, I am sure it means something.

    You are correct. It is short for ditto. So same as above.

    @LarryClark43 I could just say "ditto" to the comments above. I suspect it may be one of those generational issues that people in my age group (70+) are quite familiar with but younger generations may not be.
