How do I delete an incomplete listing for a person already on the tree that has a completed listing?
While adding info to the tree, I somehow managed to get a parent (GFGJ-J8C) listed twice under his adoptive son's info (GFGN-Y71). There are two records for this parent on the child's page (and even on this parent's own page!). One of the records has his spouse and the date they were married, etc. etc.; the second record does not. I tried to fill in the incomplete record, hoping I could merge them; but am just told that relationship already exists, and am given no merge option. I can't figure out how to eliminate the incomplete listing and keep the completed listing. Thank you for your insight!

Not quite sure where you're coming from. GFGJ-J8C only shows the person and his parents, no wife or children, and the adoptive son's PID GFGN-Y71 comes up as No Results Found. Could you check these PIDs and re-submit please.

@DebbieCook23, It sounds like you have a child attached to a set of parents and the same child attached to only the father with no or unknown mother. Is that what you see? If that's the case you will need to remove the child relationship to the father (the one with no mother). Click the pencil icon of the child and then click Remove or Replace and follow the on screen instructions. Once the relationship to the Father only is removed you should only see the child relationship to the parent couple.
And like BarryJohnson the PID for the adopted son is either not valid or, given the dob of GFGJ-J8C, still LIVING. If so because he is still living, no one can see that PID but you.

Hey guys, you are correct when you state the son is living and the father is deceased, and I realize now that I probably should have stated that in the beginning. (Sorry!) My living husband is the biological father of the son; the deceased father is the adoptive father and passed a few years ago. The deceased father is the one that's listed twice, even on his own page. I was trying to remove (or merge) the second listing, which does not have his still-living, adoptive wife's name and the date they were married, etc., but I can't figure out how to do that. Again, thank you very much for your input.

@DebbieCook23, to start, stop thinking you are trying to merge two different couple relationships, that does not happen. You can remove a couple relationship from each other and you can remove a child relationship from a parent(s).
I still think your issue is that you have the child in a child parent relationship to the Couple (adopted father & spouse) AND you have the child in a separate child-parent relationship to the father. Get it, same father but two different relationships for the child.
You need to remove one of these relationships. Reread my first post on how to do that. (If you still have a problem after trying that solution, comment on that and I'm sure others will take a crack at it.)
