Henry Perry Miner

@charillaacrawford Hmm. I have reviewed Henry Perry Miner in the FamilySearch Family Tree PID KHTY-L7S and also in an online family tree on Ancestry.com owned by "The Silver City." I assume your first goal is to identify the town in Vermont in which Henry P Miner was born, is that right? Because New England states kept their records at the town level, if you could identify the town...it would make finding the birth record and parents quite easy..in theory.
I noticed his wife was buried in Hepler, Crawford County, Kansas. Since Henry died first, I am assuming he is likely buried there as well. This is a small place, and not terribly visible on the internet. I did not find either of them in findagrave. I assume Henry likely died between the 1905 Kansas state census and the 1910 US Census where his wife is listed as a widow. I would hope to find his death in the Crawford County Death book 1904-1908, f7579699, starts on image 374 of 857...but he does not pop up in the index. Have you inquired with Crawford County Clerk to see if they have a record of his death. Unfortunately, even if they do, it does not look like these records asked for a birth place. So back to square one.
Have you already tried a working theory? I see there is a civil war draft for a Henry Miller from Reading, Vermont. Have you chased this fellow backwards at all?
