Why can't I ask a question
I cannot ask a question in the groups. Does anyone else have this problem?

Have you joined the group where you want to ask the question?

If you have joined a group, the header of the group looks like this:
If you have not joined a group it looks like this:
Some groups you can just click Join and you are in. In some groups, after you click Join an e-mail is sent to the group administrators and they have to add you to the group and until they do, the Join button is gone but you still can't post.

@Julia Szent-Györgyi are you able to "ask a question" in the Groups? I can't.

Yes, I have joined the group. In the discussions there’s a drop down for ask a question and it won’t allow me. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem

I can't think of when I every tried that. Maybe when Communities first opened. The Communities software has some strange things in it. Do you know if that menu ever worked?
In any event, just ignore it and use New Discussion. I'm pretty sure that is what everyone else does.

In all the groups I am in, there is are sections of Announcements, Discussions, and Upcoming Events. This also makes me think the the Questions section has been disabled.

Thanks @Gordon Collett. We were trying to see if it was just a few of us or others as well. Not sure if it was disabled or a glitch. I do use the discussions and am a group leader in five groups, but this came up today and we wanted to know if others were experiencing the same difficulty.
