Search Filters - Clear filters issing
When I have done record searches in the past, I have often seen the filter with an X and can clear it by clicking the X. However, now when I use a filter, the records are indeed filtered, but there is no filter label with an X above to use to remove the filter. The clear filter labels are missing. I have to use the browser 'back' button and/or restart my search from the beginning. When I use the browser 'back' button, sometimes I can see the filter label flash up. It seems like it's 'hidden' behind the screen, between the 'person' name at the top and the "results (x)" line -- right where I would expect it to be -- it just doesn't show up on the screen. Another challenge with this is that I cannot tell what filter is on for the search results, and I cannot easily modify the search results.
The same issue occurs in both the FamilySearch and FamilyTree mobile apps.
Someone mentioned to use the right side menu and uncheck the filtered options. However, they do automatically appear. I have to remember what filter I put on the search. Then, while this may work for "collections", it doesn't work for the other filters.
Please restore the blue bubbles for clearing filters!! The blue bubbles with the "X" clearly indicated how to turn off a filter. The use of filters is SO extremely important!! Please make it easy to use this feature and avoid having to 'start over.' As it stands, the use of filters is so much harder than it needs to be. It makes me feel that I don't want to use filters because it is so challenging, but then that means I can't access important records. So I try to use them, but spend more time trying to clear filters or start over that it's hard to remember what I was researching!
Thank you!!!
