Teach the computer to index more correctly in German language Switzerland
This is not a question. It's a problem. I love the fact that computers are now indexing German language records from Switzerland. There are, of course, plenty of errors, most of which don't concern me much. However, there is one quite common error that needs to be addressed. In a marriage record, when listing the parents of the groom or the bride, the scribe often writes only the first name of the father (assuming it to be the same as that of his child) and then he writes the full name of the mother. The computer is indexing it as if the father and mother both have the same surname--the surname of the mother! I have been using the edit option to correct this, but it is very time consuming. Can someone please teach the computer not to do this?

It sounds like you are looking at indexed historical records. I can relate, as I too have been finding and fixing some of these errors. Are you able to edit the index records? Editing is enabled for some but not all collections. Editing is one way of training the robot-indexer, modeling exactly the correct behavior.
I would offer a screenshot but at the moment the system is offline for maintenance.
