Family History Activity Report
I would appreciate any answers to the following questions about the Family History Activity Report (FHAR).
- Is there a lag in time before the FHAR includes those who printed a family name card in FamilySearch?
- If a member prints a family name card from Ordinances Ready and the person is a very distant relative, does the member still count as a "Submitter" on the FHAR?
- Do all names printed from Ordinances Ready count as a submission by the member?
- If a member is from a protected country like Iran, would the names they submit for ordinance work on FamilySearch be considered related to the member such that the member is counted as a "Submitter" in the FHAR?
- Does printing a name from Ordinances Ready for someone totally unrelated to the member who requested the name qualify the member as a "Submitter"?

Hello @Ronald Nunnally
There is a knowledge article which can help with some of your questions -
- Time lag - "Information is updated monthly on the 5th or 6th of the month, based on data through the end of the previous month."
- Submitters - "Submitter: A member is counted once who submits one or more names for temple work. A submission includes printing a Family Ordinance Request, printing a family name card, or sharing a name with the temple. (Note: Sharing an ordinance with another person (even if it is accepted) or accepting an Ordinances Ready ordinance does not count as submitted until the card is printed.)

If you are a Stake Leader then I would suggest contacting your Area Temple and Family History Representatives.
kind regards

doesnt matter who they submit the names for -- or if they are related
a submission is a submission
but the COUNT is only per member (not per subission)
whether I submit one name or 100 names - I count as ONE person who submitted names.

Thank you Kerijy and Dennis for your responses to my questions. They are helpful.
I understand that a member who shares a name with the temple is one way to be counted as a "Submitter" on their unit's FHAR.
If Ordinances Ready provides that shared name to another patron, when the patron prints the family name card, is this patron also counted as a "Submitter" on their unit's FHAR?

I assume if they print a card it would be counted yes -- if they dont it wont.
(but Im not an expert on this technicality )
On the other hand if someone hands you a physical card and you just take that to the temple -- the temple would probably have no way of knowing who actually did it systematically . so I cant see that being counted by the person who took it to the temple. But the person who did print it would be counted.

Hello @Ronald Nunnally
Yes. That is my understanding.
"Submitter" is just an indication of someone doing something related to getting a name to the temple.

You might also ask this question in the Temple and Family History Consultants group. There are a number of Family History Consultants there with experience that might be able to answer your question.

@sshaver3970400 for this particular person Charin Suuroinen MM3G-Y6W, if you look at the ordinance page... it shows that she was sealed to a set of parents, that are not the currently listed parents. So there is a sealing-to-parents ordinance available with the currently listed parents, but there is also a previous sealing-to-parents done.
