What can I do if I can't find records for some of my ancestors on family Search?

FamilySearch doesn't hold all records for all locations. I use many different online sites as well as offline repositories to find the information I need to document my ancestors.
If you want to share some details - names, places, decades/centuries - we may be able to help point you in the right direction to search.

Some possible causes: the records are not public (for example, if they're too recent), the records have not been indexed on FS, or the records are behind a paywall somewhere else.
You can research what's available and where by exploring the Research Wiki and the Catalog on FamilySearch. Both are arranged mostly by location or jurisdiction. (I'm sure you've encountered the old saw: genealogy is just like real estate, because the three most important factors are location, location, and location.)

if you are willing - Please share with us some non sensitive information about your family background, where they lived, the time period etc. and we will be happy to provide feedback.
(dont share any info about living people)
also realize FamilySearch is a BIG place -- - there are many places you could be looking -- the Family Tree is only one portion of a very massive collection of data
see this link for ideas.
