I am wanting to write some histories on a set of my GGG Grandparents who joined the Church in England, sailed to the US in 1855 and came to Utah after 1860. These people are in the Unknown Companies with no history whatsoever possibly because they were raising girls and when their daughters married and moved out of town the family ceased to exist in the very community that they'd helped to settle!
The tax records for Juab County are online but the Church records are still available only on film! Why aren't these records available online? Even if we had to use our family search accounts to view then it would sure be a lot more convenient than haunt to make a trip to Salt Lake City! I would like to know where and when my GG Grandmother's younger sister was baptized? This could help me narrow down their travel year and possibly put them into a specific pioneer company! I wrote 2 histories on another ancestor on my maternal line who was also raising girls. I learned that my GGG Grandfather had been a Stake Patriarch which was something that nobody had known prior to me being able to look at his membership records!

All microfilm has been digitized. But, not all records can be viewed online from home. The film reel icon no longer indicates "on microfilm only" but does indicate that the record(s) cannot be viewed from where you are logged in.
You don't say what specific records you want to view. One of my cousins converted from Catholicism to LDS, in the early 20th century, and I have been able to view some of her records by logging in from my local Affiliate Library.
