New Person Page
The current summary view of a person & their family structure is just fine. It's very easy to navigate. The new look is an attempt to look pretty and add historical contexts which are very much an American perspective on foreign traditions e.g. the Gaelic meaning of surnames comes from The American Names Dictionary - what ?????? Surely a Scottish source would be more appropriate.
The information on the traditions of Scotland are full of Irish spellings and some real inaccuracies. Surely you could ask a native of the country involved to verify or correct the often romantic and fanciful narratives. It's rather amateur to be frank with you. There are infinite other websites that have brilliant histories of countries and their peoples.
The Find function was changed for the worse. Please don't do the same with the New Person Page. Change should always be for the better. If FS swap over to the new look I would definitely be less motivated to use the website.
Respectfully
Ann

The "about" section that the new format gives pride of place to is actually just the "Discovery" page, slightly rearranged and renamed. It's just as awful and utterly useless a piece of fluff as it always was, and it isn't actually the new person page. You need to click "Details" to see the real new person page.
