I have personal knowledge that William Grady Harrell GFSM-J4L is still alive and he is listed as deceased. I was not the person who listed him, what can I do to make a change in his status?

Thank you, Pam Jesperson

You can ask either FS or the user who created the profile to change him to "living".

As far as I know, asking the user who created the profile only works if nobody else has edited it. If there are multiple contributors, then you'll have to ask FS to do it.

To submit a dead-to-living request to FS, edit the "Death" entry in the profile's Vitals box, click "Living", and then "Save". Type the reason you know he's living, then click Submit. FamilySearch staff will read what you wrote, and if they agree, the profile will disappear from public view: it'll be put in the private space of the person who created it. Depending on their current workload, this may take a few days, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, it doesn't take more than a week.
