Department of Home Affairs: Natal. Civil Registration Records 1952–1966, Marriage Records 1952–1966
If you check reference image - 3 it should say marriage index and give the date for the section you are in.
As far as I can see, the instructions do not show anything like this and don't give any indication as to whether it should be indexed or not.
hopefully a moderator will be able to give you a better answer.

I'll look for records that say if it is a birth, marriage or death records instead of just names! Thanks

This is the page on the Research Wiki.
You can search the records on FamilySearch here https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/3511741
(Sign in first)
There is a Research Wiki page for South Africa here
The records and images are available on FamilySearch.
On the Search Historical Records page, is a Search by Place section. (scroll down a bit on the right side of the page) Use this option to see tools and resources specific to a place. After you enter a place, the system takes you to a research page for the country, state, or province. The research page includes these items:
- A link to a wiki page for the place.
- Learning Courses
- Indexed Historical Records
- Current Indexing Projects
- Image-Only Historical Records
- Catalog Material
Hope this helps

I have worked extensively on the South Africa, Natal--Vital Records, 1868-1976, Parts A-E.
The newer records in Part F, unfortunately do not have any examples, and as you've seen, many don't have headings to show what they are recording.
I finally found a batch with some headings.
You have Surname, Christian Name(s), and Year. There is nothing there to show what kind of record (birth/marriage/death/other) it is.
