Can we limit the types of announcements we get? Can they get marked to go away?
I don't want birthdays, etc., for ANYONE. I do like knowing when there are new records, however. I spend a lot of time linking records to people in my tree. But I still find problems. When I click that a record is NOT a match--the record doesn't go away, but keeps suggesting the link. Is there some way to record that a hint has been investigated and is invalid? The problem with this isn't in the linking windows, but in the suggestions that come up specifically for me.
And then there's the situation, usually a death record, where the person is unmarried. For instance, my Aunt Ida, who died when she was nine: https://www.familysearch.org/campaign/missingrelatives?ancestor_pid_1=LDRD-5PN&cisid=MMMW-W2VM This message has come up several different times for her--really, once is enough!

Hello @C Christensen I completely understand it can be irritating receiving emails you are not interested in. I have attached an article which explains how to adjust your settings to receive fewer notifications. This may help a little, but without unsubscribing from all notifications, there is no way to prevent some types of email from getting through.
I hope this helps 😊

It sounds like you are unhappy with receiving notifications from FamilySearch except those which contain only specific information. You may want to review the following knowledge articles to learn more about the notifications that are sent and how to work with them.
I hope these two knowledge articles will help you decide what types of notifications are of interest to you. We cannot always determine which email campaigns will come to us, and since they are determined by the information that exists in Family Tree about our ancestors, it is important to correct any erroneous information we find that may cause campaign information to be incorrect.
We are grateful to provide our guests with opportunities to learn more about their ancestors through notifications and email campaigns, but we do respect your right to eliminate notifications if you do not feel they are helpful.
[You will notice that you can unsubscribe at any time at the bottom of emails you receive which is often the fastest way to quit receiving information that is not of interest. Changing your notifications settings is also a great way to resolve notification issues as explained in the articles that have been provided.]
