I jpegs on my computer. I am unable to upload any of the ones I have renamed. The ones that I haven't renamed are no problem. Do I need to rescan the ones I renamed?

The photos are not too large.

not sure I totally understand

BUT if you uploaded an item

and then renamed the file and tried to upload it again

it will generate a duplicate error because the item has already been uploaded (even if it had a different file name)

JPEGs are not a problem to upload. I have uploaded them. Here is a jpeg photo of my grandfather. https://www.familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/130587710?cid=mem_copy

When you say you renamed them, does that mean you changed the .jpg? If so, change it back. All files need to be labeled the correct file type. In other words, a jpeg file can't be named .png or .doc.

how was it resolved? what was the exact scenario? none of us were really sure what your exact scenario was.

I had tried to upload my own profile picture and I had trouble sizing it correctly. What I uploaded wasn't exactly what I wanted but it will do.
