I would add the Iowa Living History Farm in Urbandale, Iowa, around Des Moines.https://www.lhf.org/ It has numerous buildings from different periods in Iowa’s history docents who give lectures on how the pioneers survived. There are a couple of good hotels next door and the Iowa Machine Shed restaurant. It is close enough to Des Moines, the state Capitol to make it worth while to add it to your visit. Be sure to tis ll your people to visit the law library, which is well worth seeing. It is renouned for its magnificent architecture. https://www.statelibraryofiowa.gov/index.php/about/locations/law-library

I am surprised Old World Wisconsin isn't on the list.

They have a huge property divided into various ethnic settlements with buildings relocated from around the state. Each settlement has costumed settlers who demonstrate doing the various tasks that they would have performed in the different seasons.
