wife's name on land grant records

I am not sure if the wife's name belongs to the grantor or grantee. Batch number M35F-7QX Thanks

    If you check example 1 in the project instructions you find the following at the bottom of the entries:

    Note: Index the names of wives recorded in the "Wife &c" column as a separate grantor. In this case, Huldah Abbett would be indexed as a grantor in a separate entry. When the wife's given names are listed on the same line as the husband's surname in the "Wife &c" column, the husband's surname should be entered as the wife's surname.

    I believe this explains what to do.
