Burial Records

The burial records are not being uploaded. The Baptism and or Christening records need to be applied to the Baptism Event. Many people are not typing in the Christening records and are just leaving it blank. Can't submit to temple. Causing a lot of unnecessary work in hand typing all of these records.

Please correct this as soon as possible.

    @CSAndrews

    I'm afraid I can't see what you mean by, "The burial records are not being uploaded", unless you meant to say "baptism".

    There is a much-reported problem with (generally infant) baptisms being labelled as "baptisms" rather than "christenings", after a batch has been indexed. This is an extremely annoying inconsistency that FamilySearch refuses to address, for some reason.

    Frequently, even the exact same event (subject to multiple indexing) is sometimes labelled as a baptism -meaning it is carried over as such, when attaching the source, to the Custom Event section - whereas it can be alternatively labelled as a Christening, meaning it is transferred directly to that area of the Vitals section.

    As I say, I don't know if the "burial" issue is a separate problem for you, but certainly many of us are having our time wasted by the inconsistency on the other issue.

    Please listen to your users "FamilySearch". Apart from adult events, "Baptism = Christening" (in FamilySearch processes) so these events must always be labelled as a "Christening" - post the actual batch indexing process, where I understand there is no differentiation. (I.e., there is one "box" for the baptism / christening event, regardless of how the page in the original (register) is headed.
