New Message-Schedule Temple Appointment

I agree, if we want to schedule an appointment, we can do so when ready. This step is not necessary.

I wonder what the current ratio of cards printed per month to ordinances completed per month is?
If on average there are 100 cards printed for every 1 ordinance completed, this would mean there are still far too many people with large stacks of cards that they are never going to be able to complete before they or the cards expire. This would also mean that people need this not so subtle reminder that if you are going to print this card today you better be going to the temple this week to use this card.
If the ratio is more along the lines of 1 card printed for every 2 ordinances completed, meaning that all printed cards are being used up quickly and about half of people going to the temple are not taking their own cards, that message probably is not really needed.
The other statistics that would shed light on the need for this message is how many ordinances are completed using previously printed cards for which the reservation had actually expired and, even more importantly, how many ordinances are still being unnecessarily completed because the reservation had expired, someone else had taken the ordinance, printed a card and gone to the temple, and then the person who had printed the card years earlier had taken that card to the temple and redone the ordinance. If people are still waisting time duplicating ordinance work because they print cards and don't get around to using them for years, then that encouragement to set an appointment now to use the card you are printing is needed.
