I like to visit cemeteries often to find relatives. It would be nice if there was a feature to sort ancestors by the cemetery they are buried in. That would allow me to know which ones I am looking for once I am at the cemetery. In their details it lists where they are buried, so I fill like it would be a pretty easy filter to add to find them by cemetery.

Because there are other cemetery application FamilySearch partners (such as findagrave) - as far as I know - the closest you can do in FamilySearch currently to find family tree members buried in the same cemetery - is select the city, county, state, etc. location to filter those (assuming Death place is near Burial place and that FamilySearch now or in the future includes Burial location as 'Death Like' location - for those persons buried far from the Death location searching DEATH filter won't help):

Otherwise if the particular cemetery records are on FamilySearch you can possibly find family members - of the same last name/surname - in that record set.

    OR

If you have headstone photos for each family member you can create topic tags or title text with Cemetery name - then Search in Memories for that text/topic tags.

    AND

I haven't played around with it too much but the Where Am I From Activity/maps might be a way to browse family cemetery/graves on the map (or maybe in the future). Great idea!

Also may I suggest: FamilySearch Place Names will need to know where the cemetery is before they can locate graves. You can help FamilySearch Places by checking/entering the cemetery location at:

    https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/

If a Search does not reveal your ancestor cemetery, use the SUGGEST A NEW PLACE> Cemetery options:

    Hopefully this helps.

If you have a smart phone, download the Family Tree mobile app and try the “Map My Ancestors” function. You may find it does just what you are looking for. It only goes back six generations and forward from there but also includes everyone on your Recents list.

You can either put in a specific cemetery name as a search or just stand in the middle of the cemetery and open the app to see everyone near you.
