@grams7 , can you describe them or better yet post a screen shot? Where are you seeing these symbols? What are you calling your ID number? Do you mean your PID? Are you talking about the Community or FamilySearch? Sorry, I'm just not understanding your question.

When I look in Family Search you don't see it but when I copy and paste to Word my time line right behind my GCC there are two symbols that kinda look like paper clips - hope this helps

Sorry, I am unable to duplicate your issue using my own timeline, then copy/paste to Word. Is the problem unique to your timeline? And only with this one particular child? There may be something or character odd about her name? A screen shot will likely be very helpful in someone diagnosing this issue. But it's probably not a good idea to post a screen shot since we are dealing with Living individuals.

Your image has not come through yet. It often takes some time to upload. One thing I notice that is strange, is that the Pending image.png says "Uploaded Feb 3, 2021". Very odd. Will check back in the AM.

Those are formatting symbols in the text.

They look like ".notdef glyphs": what's displayed in place of characters that aren't available in the font that you're using. I have no idea what the characters are supposed to be, or where Word is getting them, because my experiments with copy-and-paste from a person's time line tab into a word processor have all failed to produce any special characters anywhere. (I don't have Word to test it there.)

@grams7 , Oh there must be a setting in Word that has been set to display formatting symbols just before they start showing up and needs to be turned off. I don't think this is anything coming over from FS. Need someone more versed in Word, but I think there is a Show/Hide button for formatting symbols somewhere. Maybe this will give you a clue. Instruction video for turning on/off the symbols. The instructions may be somewhat different depending on what version Word you have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yCi6frHfxo

Click the little paragraph symbol ¶ on your Home Ribbon in Word

@grams7 , My last comment just got lost when I tried to edit it, but I think there is a Show/Hide formatting symbols in Word that has been turned on in error and needs to be turned off. While in your Word document that is showing the symbols, go to your Home Ribbon in Word and click the little paragraph symbol ¶.

    See short instructional video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yCi6frHfxo
