Why is a person not found when I was given the name and ancestral number by Familysearch?

I received an email stating a new photo was available for a person in my family, when I search for that person, they are not found, also searched by the ancestral number given in the email and nothing is found.

I have most of those email notifications turned off, but I dug back in my emails to find one. Unless the format has changed in the last couple of weeks, there should be a clickable "view" button that takes you directly to the document or photo. The name is also a live hyperlink that you can click to be taken to the profile.

Thank you for answer. I clicked on the "view photo" button but when it took me to that page in FamilySearch, here is what it said... "We Were Unable to Find Any New Memories in Your Family Tree."

Have you tried putting the PID number in your recents box? The Find feature has sometimes been glitchy of late.

I'm not familiar with the "Recent People" box, not sure where to find it, but I will check it out. thank you again...

UPDATE

just tried it... it worked! thank you so much but I'm still confused as to why a search would not find this person, I am so happy to have connected with you and know that some of my questions can be answered, I never tried this, I just try to work things out...

As I mentioned above, the Find feature has been glitchy in recent times.
