I am indexing a record, I came to a record that the given name shows "H. & A." (this is the 11th line from the top.

How do I index this, does this mean that it is twins and I need to make 2 separate entries for this record? There is more than one like this.

Here is the batch information,

    Thanks for sharing your batch.

The project instructions address what to do since the H & A are the initials of the parents. This is also shown in Example 3. You will index the surname for the child and parents and then the H & A as the given names for the father and mother.

    • If the parents' initials are recorded rather than the child's given name, the first initial is indexed as the father's given name, the second initial is indexed as the mother's given name, and the "Surname" column is indexed for the surnames of the child, the father, and the mother.

Project instructions can be opened at any time by clicking on the last icon on the toolbar.
