How to report a user who is spamming relationships incorrectly
There is a volunteer who is linking the name Monte Gummerii GXQY-916 to seemingly every person they can. Most of the lines in my history end in this Monte Gummerii, regardless of if the information ends in 754 or 1855. Even Seth's wife is descended from this profile. It turns out that all these relationships came from the same account, @YbAyJc2te5ijgkvw0A, on the same day, May 24, 2022. How do we report this account and correct these errors?

It looks like someone has already reported this profile, because the most recent activity (removing some children today) is credited to "FamilySearch", but you can add your voice by using the "Report Abuse" option under Tools (in the right-hand column of the profile's details page).

They don't want us reporting this as abuse. I got told off for doing that. You need to go through Help and Contact us via email or phone. They have yet to respond to my email from 5 days ago, though. I don't think they care. Just frustrating.

This type of behaviour is abusive and should be reported. The user name looks remarkably similar to the one used by someone who engaged in similar behaviour about three months ago.
As stated, this has already been reported and action taken.

@rebeccajenaeguy1 It is so unfortunate that some user accounts are set on wreaking havoc to trees. That was the case here. It was reported and dealt with. The Data Administration team can do some amount of correction but it depends on several things how much gets fixed. They have done what they can with tools and any other corrections will need to be done manually. The best thing we can do is report these things quickly and using Report Abuse is the best way to get the info to right team quickly. So sorry for the mess this user caused! Sam 😮

@AllisonCastner I looked into your comment as well. I'm not sure who would have told you not to use Report Abuse but in this type of case we definitely want you to do that. It gets the attention of the correct team quickly so it can be resolved quickly. I understand that an email reply was sent to you. If you haven't seen it, check your spam folders. Sometimes responses take a little time while things are being routed to the correct team so you get the right response. We are sorry when this takes longer than you expect. Please know that we do care. Sam ☺️

@Sam Sulser : Just so you know, iike @AllisonCastner I too have been told not to report as abuse clear instances of abuse.
@AllisonCastner : Experience has taught me that when we are told not report, that is because there is already an open ticket about the abuse. It is being dealt with behind the scenes. Every new abuse report expends frontline manpower as the staff person receiving the abuse report must triage it before escalating.

The several profiles named Monte Gummerii appear to be project pages, gathering other profiles for management via Tree View, Descendancy. In the Descendancy Tree research hints and data problems are displayed. Gathering the profiles under a pseudo parent also makes them easy to work on in Puzzilla.
