I can't recover LDS account by using email or phone number, when the membership record was been used

Are you trying to recover your Church account or your FamilySearch account? The two accounts are no longer linked.

My Teenage son is having the same problem. When I try to recover username or password the mobile number and email are not attached to the membership # he has so I get stuck there. Where do I go to help from there? I live in NZ. Can we just reset his account or something like that? I really want to help him get started on researching his ancestors and doing temple work.

@Norm Jones I was trying to recover a familysearch account. I serve as a Stake Temple & Family History Coordinator in Port Vila, Vanuatu. There a lots of my members in my stake who have this issue. When we created their LDS accounts using their Membership record, and when we tried to recover either their username or password, there's no option for church membership record but only mobile number and email. How can I solve this issue? Because we only use their membership number to create their account not mobile number or email. So when we tried to recover their username, it's difficult because membership record is not included in the option recovery only email and phone number. There needs to be a way out of this, right?
