Is it possible to get a batch back that has been submitted?

I'm expecting the answer to be no, but I thought it was worth asking.

Here's my situation: I reviewed a batch and submitted it and then on the the next batch I downloaded I could see a surname written clearly that was difficult to decipher on the batch I had just submitted. What I had entered for that surname wasn't right; I'm hoping that it is close enough that someone searching for that person will find this record. Still, if there were some way to just get the batch back for a minute, I could fix it and resubmit it. Is that possible?

Thank you!

Hi caticajarvis, I am fairly certain you are correct in expecting the answer to be no.

As far as I know once submitted we no longer have a way to access the batch.

Some times when I am having a difficult time deciphering a name I check both directions on the reference images to see if by chance the person will be listed again.

Sounds like you are trying your best and that is all that we can do.

Every record (name) indexed is reviewed at least once before it is published, so when a mistake is made in deciphering handwriting, it will almost always be caught and corrected before being available to researchers. However, when you have a question its always best to give the Project Name and Batch Code so that helpers in the Forum can see the batch.
