I was looking at my parents census data in the 1950 census and my dad is listed as Glenmare Morris instead of Glenn. Also my mom was listed as a widower although they were married an additional 46 years after 1950. Is there a way to make corrections to that before the full census is available to all? The error on the name is on the census taker not AI or the reviewers. This is in South Dakota, McCook County, Ramsey Twp.
@Dave Morris6 I see your question hasn't been answered. Sorry about that! The purpose of the current reviews is to correct and improve the AI. Hopefully, someone saw and corrected the marriage error. The name error made by the census taker will need to be corrected once the index in published. Since South Dakota is now published, you can go and edit your dad's name to fix the error made by the census taker.
About a week ago, I got onto the 50 census and corrected his name. Also they had him at 12 years old (he was 42) and as a child I was listed as 8 which was correct. I also got that corrected, but couldn't get the widowed changed. Thanks for your reply.
