Message Threads

In my message function I cannot view message threads. My original message is there but cannot scroll through a message or view the previous message. Are there settings I am missing. I have searched through help function but cannot find this subject.

Thank you. The scrolling with the wheel on the mouse worked and allowed me to access the threads in the messaging. I do not see an inner scroll bar so that was not an option. I use Windows 10 and Chrome.
