    Lisa, are the Familysearch event materials only available to official family history centers? Can a family unit that wants to host a Familysearch event purchase these items?

    @Lonnie Gallaher

    Thank you for your question. In the 7 years since this article was written, Family Discovery Days are no longer hosted and sponsored events. The materials currently available are for Family History Centers. You could work with a local print shop and create something for a local event you may be hosting.

    With respect to using commercial printing shops for private family-hosted gatherings, it is important to note that the FamilySearch logo (both the stylized tree and the green name font) are copyrighted, and cannot be used without written permission from FamilySearch. Also, the specific font of the Church's official name is also copyrighted and not to be used. Neither FamilySearch nor the Church would be sponsors of privately held events and should not be implied to be officially sponsoring or hosting such private events. That's why the available printed materials are now customized only for FamilySearch Centers, and what's printed on them is very restricted.
