search results links
I believe this is a bug, but you may believe it is a feature. Nevertheless...
When I have a list of tree search results, click name to get the popup window, and then (left) click either the name or the "tree" button at the bottom of the popup, the website opens the content BOTH in the current window, AND in a new tab. Both simultaneously, from one click. I tested this in both Firefox and Google Chrome and get the same results. I can't think of any legitimate use case where any link would open in two windows/tabs at the same time, as this is just a waste of bandwidth and browser memory.
Instead, if a user wants a link to open in a new window, they can right-click and choose to do so. Otherwise, any click from the search results should open only in the current window/tab. Or provide a setting where a user can choose the desired behavior. But I can't see how opening content in two windows/tabs simultaneously from one click would be anyone's desired behavior.

I can confirm this behavior. I had not previously noticed because my usual process is to right-click on "Person" on the flyout and choose "new tab", so that the search results remain open in the original tab and the profile opens in a predictable place. (There's no telling what will happen on FS if you left-click anything: will it open a new page in the same tab? a new page in another tab? a flyout or popup? a sidebar? a tool [copy ID]? more than one of these? I therefore habitually only left-click on things I know to behave like fields or buttons, not on anything that might behave like FS's mixed-up version of a link.)
