I like adding memories. If I have memories that I want private for myself until after my immediate family is deceased but would like them to be public after that time, how can I do that? Can we have a “private until 5 years after death or something?

You can either mark them private (only you will ever see) or public (others can see them if they are tagged to someone who is deceased or they have the URL or they can search for the title). Private will always stay private even after death.
Please see this Help Center article: What are private memories?

I have uploaded several historical family photos and documents only to have someone else claim them and crop them to their desire. How can I show that i am the ORIGINAL contributor and stop the altering of phots documents by other users?
