Feedback to Indexers
Is there a way to give feedback to individual indexers as to the errors they are making when indexing? For example, images of Brazilian records typically have several documents on the two page images. Often an indexer only indexes the first document so when reviewing what they have done I end up indexing the remaining documents on the image. I can also tell when an indexer is not familiar with Brazilian documents because they miss information in the document or misread the information. It would be very helpful if individual indexers could be given feedback on how they are doing and given suggestions to improve their work. I certainly would appreciate receiving information when I´ve done something incorrect.

Hi @MarkZaugg
No, there is not. I have suggested such a feature multiple times over many years. And many committed Reviewers like yourself and earnest beginning Indexers have requested it as well.
I believe it could be done in a way that wouldn't ruffle feathers on either side - Reviewer providing or Indexer receiving feedback. That potential for disagreement is one of the main reasons why it wasn't implemented with the move from Desktop Indexing to Web-based Indexing - underqualified Reviewers (Arbitrators) incorrectly "correcting" qualified Indexers' correct work. To be fair - some of my outstanding experienced Reviewer-colleagues would not welcome it. I would welcome it and would commit to helping find a way to make it work - for at least those thick-skinned and patient Indexers and Reviewers who'd be willing.
Bottom line - I don't think it will ever happen although I believe it would eventually greatly enhance the quality and efficiency of the whole indexing process.
