Semi-auto Location Standardization Based on Recent Location Data
When it comes to the Research Help suggestions, it will often have a minor data point like a residence from an old census. It's not the most helpful piece of information, but it can still help direct someone's research. Frequently that data isn't in the officially standardized format and it requires you to add additional information to find the correct location. In some cases, though, the clues are already in the other attached data points for the individual.
One example (screenshot attached) is the addition of a city, listed only as Thwing. This ancestor, though, was born and lived most of her life in the same city (all data has been standardized) but the system still isn't sure how to standardize this entry. It seems like there could be some sort of intelligence to help here.
