My brother just decided to change the family records

How is it that 1 can change family records to false information that has NO records? That's just what my brother did. He erased all records that I found and put in false information that does NOT exist, no records. How can I put back in the records that were found? I put them in, he takes them out. There is No Proof of what he has put in. Didn't know someone could do this.

    No conversation possible since helper blocks conversation

    No one can force anyone to engage. But everyone can use the Discussion feature under the Collaborate tab on every profile. Try the Notes feature first, as notes are seen also on the mobile app. If someone else deletes your Note then put the same content in a Discussion. Your contributions are preserved in the Change Log.

    @Nonfamily

    Read this Help Article:

    How do I report abuse, spam, inappropriate memories, and other content?

    Be successful! Cheerio for now.

    I did report it about 2 months ago and was told that it was not abuse. So, no help there. I just do not know what to do to have this false info stopped.

    @Nonfamily report it again using the report button. Reference your previous report, by case number if you have it, to establish a pattern of behavior. Read the FamilySearch Terms of Use (TOU, https://www.familysearch.org/legal/terms) and the Content Submission Agreement it references, and specify how the behavior you are reporting violates the TOU and/or CSA.

    As I just commented against another post, this will probably not meet FamilySearch's definition of "abuse".

    Unfortunately, this is a matter that you need to sort out with your brother, as the open-edit nature of Family Tree allows him (or even someone unrelated) to make such changes, however unwarranted. Persistent behaviour of this nature might be regarded as another matter, however - especially if there is evidence of maliciousness.

    Knowingly adding false information with malicious intent is vandalism. Especially when repeated over time. It can take a while, and multiple reports, to rise to the level at which FamilySearch will take action.

    @Nonfamily , in addition to the advice you have already received and not to pry but, can you make any progress by discussing this issue directly with your brother? (Sorry @DavidBeck1 my comment was misdirected, my mistake.)

    No direct talking to this brother. He was very abusive to me while growing up. Lot of family members know what he's like and don't have anything to do with him. I do not know why he is changing everything to make believe. There obviously are no records of what he is putting down. But what I had put down, I found many records of my mother's side of her family. Her Father and her mother. I never knew this brother was even using this site. Because he seems to be using my father's name as his. And I never knew my father was even on this site either when I started my searches. Looks like anyone can put down anything they want true or not true.

    By the way my father is now deceased. For many years now, at least 15 years now.

    @Nonfamily

    Please remember, this discussion should not contain references to personal circumstances, only the values appertaining to Family History and especially the use of FamilySearch. So, please be practical and express your needs in terms of the these contexts.

    It may be well for you to invest in the use of Family History software, which is totally under you control, in which you could build your tree without any fear of your data being changed, and be aware that you have the right to build your tree in FamilySearch using verified information, undoing any changes, which you know to be wrong and making entries, which you know are correct.

    Be successful!

    @Nonfamily , I think you may be “barking up the wrong tree” as they say. My advice is that you need to contact through the FamilySearch messaging system the person who is making the changes. I doubt he is your brother using your father’s name. Likely it is just another user of FamilySearch who has simply gotten a member of your family confused with a member of his family.

    A problem exist with a helper removing all sources and replace with own interpertation and source

    No conversation possible since helper blocks conversation

    How do we stop this abuse of your open policy?

    Will provide facts once We are sure "helper" is not the Family Search representive.

    Must state we operate under Archive principels and consider Family Search as a Reliable source

    the Fake newes"The problem is you state Geanology are not to be trusted.

    How can we put some creadiability to this with the "fake newes"onslayght?

    No, I never said Geanology are not to be trusted. But who ever is using my dad's name, who has been dead at least 15 years now, is not stating true facts. And what I found,I have plenty of records stating the facts.
