Creating an Australian Ancestry Group for those of Aboriginal or other Australian Ancestry

It saddens me that much of Ancestry research focuses on those who search for direct blood lines connected to those who founded the church...... Joseph Smith onwards. It's as though there's a competition and race to gain some sort of status level just because your descended from one of Joseph Smith's wives.

Wasn't the true purpose for family research to trace our origins back to Genesis and our first Earthly parents, Adam and Eve? Isn't the ultimate goal to bring together the 12 tribes?

Well not all who are of the church come from the blood of the founders. I've been searching so long trying to find Australian historical records and I'm finding that there's really not much to help anybody born outside of America.

I can definitely forget trying to find my Indigenous Australian Ancestry thanks to the White Australia Policy and outright racism. But trying to find records for others is akin to being in a labyrinth full of dead ends.

I would be so grateful to simply find one birth record of just one person even if it's as recent as the early 1970s.

I'm really struggling here
