Hello everyone. :)

I scan at a Family History Center.

Ok. My question is, when I am scanning my photos at my Family History Center, then uploading them to FamilySearch Memories do the photos remain on the scanner at the Family History Center.

Or are they only on my Memories on FamilySearch.

Thank you ahead of time.

this could really depend on how the scanner is configured and set up.

when you say you are uploading them to FS Memories - what is the "source location"

(I'm assuming it is a place on the hard drive of that computer) - -

and even after you upload to FS memories - the item would still be there on the local computer.

But this is a very general statement - and it really may depend on how the church/leaders have configured the scanner and computer to work - which could vary.

I would ask your local FHC staff.

Visiting an FHC this morning - I see that their copy/scanner has options to direct feed to FamilySearch.

    With this option:

I would guess that scans would no longer remain on the scanner - and/or that there would be purge processes in place to purge them.

But again ask your local FHC rep.

Thank you Dennis. I appreciate your effort. When I get back home, I'll go to my FHC and check. But I do feel better.

    Thank you.
