Where to find 1869 Slovak Census: Magyarkelecsény, Ung: Kľačany, Kapušianske Kľačany
Hello, I received your suggestion to search for the church records, and now I'm at a loss on where to search for the 1869 Slovak census for: Magyarkelecsény, Ung: Kľačany, part of Kapušianske Kľačany
I looked under Nyitra, but only found one family with the surname Lukacz.
Should I be looking under Zemplen, or elsewhere? I don't see RUSKA or DOBORUSKA under the 1869 census.
We saw one passenger list that had VIESKOVEC as a birth location, but we couldn't find that.
Thank you for your help.

Magyarkelecsény was in Ung county. As far as I know, none of the accidentally-surviving census sheets are from Ung, so unfortunately, the answer to your title question is "nowhere". Those records no longer exist.

Thank you. Any ideas of what VIESKOVEC could be as a birthplace?

Any chance of a link to the record where this placename appears?
A few possibilities, none of them highly likely:
Vieszka, Bars 1: Oszlánykisfalud; now Vieska, part of Bystričany, Slovakia
Vieszka, Bars 2: Garammindszent; now Vieska, part of Žiar nad Hronom, Slovakia
Vieszka: another name of Gergelyfalva, Nógrád; now Gregorova Vieska, part of Tomášovce, Slovakia
Vieszka, Nyitra: Somszeg; now Vieska, part of Považany, Slovakia
Vjeszka, Trencsén: Beczkókisfalu; now Beckovská Vieska, part of Kočovce, Slovakia
Alsó-Vidovecz ("Lower-"), Zala: Muravid; now Donji Vidovec, Croatia
Felső-Vidovecz ("Upper-"), Zala: Felsővidafalva; now Gornji Vidovec, Croatia
Vitalisovec: another name of Vitálisfalu, Liptó; now Vitálišovce, part of Liptovský Mikuláš
Viskócz, Sáros: Viskó; now Vyškovce, Slovakia
Viskovo: another name of Visk, Máramaros; now Vyshkovo, Ukraine

Thank you for ALL of your detective work. The place name appeared on this transcribed passenger list to Argentina, if you scroll down to his name LUKAC, LUDEVIT. On the Arlanza ship 1927.
I thought it was a typo for L instead of V. Lieskovec is a village and municipality of the Zvolen District in the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia, but 2 hrs away?

At the bottom of the screen shot it says "Records obtained from cemla.com" and above on the same screenshot "The available fields for each immigration record are name, age at arrival, marital status, occupation, religion, nationality, ship, boarding port, date of arrival and town of birth." Perhaps if you look on https://cemla.com you may find more information.

Thank you both. She previously went to cemla.com, but it didn't offer any real help on the village.

Do you know where he settled in Argentina? That could be an important clue to where he came from.
